1000 SERIES
RUGGED & MIL-SPEC PRINTERS
A family of inkjet and laser printers are manufactured by NIS. They are available in support of highly rugged and MIL-grade applications, and are used in a wide variety of industrial applications to include ground mobile vehicles, portable shelters and on flight vehicles. These applications require high availability and must overcome challenging environmental conditions.
Mounting Options
Table top
- Available on all printer models
- Mounting points on bottom of printer utilize threaded captive nuts for ease of installation
- Rubber feet supplied optionally
- Mounting hardware sized appropriately for crash hazard and high shock
Rackmount
- Available on all printer models except 1150 and 1250
- EIA-310-D compliant
- Readily available rack slide models used available in varying lengths
Shock Tray
- Available on all printer models except 1100
- ARINC style spring loaded dagger pins, j hooks, and self-locking front retainers used
- NIS exclusive light weight carbon fiber shock trays also available with up 50% weight savings

The specifications listed are the minimum met by all printers. Please visit individual product pages to see which models exceed these specifications. All “rugged” printers are designed to meet specs while “MIL-SPEC” printers have been tested to the following standards.
The Model 1500 Industrial enclosure is a unique product developed for the Industrial marketplace and therefore does not meet Military standards.
